Crataegus mollis also know as Downy Hawthron or Arnold Hawthorn is an attractive, small, round-headed native tree that attracts wildlife to the garden. Dark green, shallow lobed leaves emerge in the spring and cover the branches. White flowers with colourful stamens follow them. The show continues with large, cherry-like red fruit. The fruit is sweet and can be used in pies, preserves, or dried. Try this hardy, easy to grow addition to your garden or landscape.
