Native to China, Bearberry Cotoneaster is grown for its excellent winter interest of evergreen foliage and bright scarlet berries. White and purple anthers bloom in May and June. This vigorous, prostrate shrub grows to 1 ft tall and 6 ft wide, making it an excellent ground cover.
