False Indigo 'Dark Chocolate' will make a dramatic statement with its nearly black, charcoal purple flower spikes that rise above the blue green foliage. Gorgeous blooms begin in late spring and last until summer. Secondary branching makes it especially floriferous. If left untrimmed attractive black seedpods follow in the fall and persisting into winter. The Baptisia 'Dark Chocolate' adds beauty even when it’s not in bloom with its blue-green dense foliage and its lovely backdrop for other perennials.
